At Phones 4u, I’m responsible for store management and head office recruitment.
A typical day involves the initial application screening of CVs, arranging and conducting
interviews for candidates, organising final stage interviews with our Associate
Regional Directors and line managers and liaising with the business to determine
recruitment needs. New challenges arise on a daily basis so you need to be adaptable
and open to change. Since joining, I’ve been presented with a number of opportunities
to help advance my career, including completing an external course which has helped
me gain new skills. The company always like to hear your opinions and ideas – and
our new employee forum lets everyone, even the directors, talk to each other online.
The Recruitment Services Team plays a huge part in the success of Phones 4u. Our
job is to find talented and great people who will be at the forefront of the business
and help drive it even further. We’ve raised the bar in the calibre of people that
are working for our business, which in turn only helps to improve the profitability
of the company and our brand image. It’s hard work, but very rewarding.
